Custom Residences Along Florida’s Coast

During our 42 years of marriage we built five homes from the ground up and another two from partially finished states—-dealing with seven home builders in six different states. We chose JMC Luxury Homes to build our final and by far most complicated custom architect designed home. Our previous experiences taught us some critical items to consider when choosing a builder:

• • Experience; John Cherveny has been building custom homes for over 30 years. And John has a very experienced and solid office support and field supervision team.
  • Reputation; 100% of individuals we checked, including some JMC competitors, indicated John had a solid reputation and would built us a quality home.
  • Quality of workmanship; we viewed some JMC built homes and the quality and attention to detail was very evident.
  • Owner experience; JMC home owners enjoyed their experiences working with John.
  • Quality and tenure of JMC sub-contractors; many of JMC sub-contractors have 30 years of experience working with John. He doesn’t just “expect” quality work, he personally “inspects” the work too.
  • On time performance; we didn’t encounter any owner complaints about lengthy construction time.

Our new home is awesome and the experience was the best. There won’t be another new home in our future, but if there was, our friend John and JMC Luxury Homes would be our builder again.

Truly a great construction experience. If you choose JMC you will get to work with John (Owner) Kevin (Super/PM) and Martha (Back-office) – This team was able to tear down our old house, work with outside plans for our 2-story house in Jupiter, fix any issues in real time, while providing great customer service and a price that may be impossible to beat.

Once we started, the process took about 18 months (if your plans require no changes, it could be sooner).

Let me provide some examples of their professionalism and love of their craft:

1. Every 3rd party inspector I hired said this was the cleanest job site they had ever seen, and they were former builders themselves. Anything they found was basically a non issue (non issue being something needed to be repainted) or already on my PM’s list to address before they found it.
2. John didn’t like the doors that came with our plans, so he upgraded us to thicker, more aesthetically pleasing doors at no cost.
3. The relationship is maintained after CO. If you notice something that is unsat, they will send out someone to replace or repair.

I’m not the easiest client to work with, but am wholly satisfied. I would recommend JMC to a friend and I would use them again. Special thanks to Kevin for his customer service.

Building a custom home long distance was a challenge we knew we would be accepting when we purchased our lot. However, as serendipitous as it was, John and his crew made the experience one we would do again, but only if we had John as builder! His attention to our wishes, and to every detail of the plan, were unique in this industry. He won’t have a sub on the job who does not adhere to his sense of perfection. We have the home of our dreams, thanks in no small part to JMC!

John and his crew @ JMC did an amazing job with our complete re-model of our house. Not only were they easy to deal with but they came in under budget and 2 weeks earlier than planned!! Wow
